Spring has Sprung....

What an amazingly beautiful day! God has blessed us with the BEST Spring Break weather EVAH!!!! The kids and I are out and about enjoying the sunshine. It's amazing how fast time goes by. The kiddos will be out of school before I know it. I'm SO excited by that very fact. I love having them home and enjoying them daily. It truly is a blessing to be a stay-at-home mom during the Summer. I'm so thankful to my sweet hubby for allowing me to do so. What a lucky girl am I?!?!

A new toy...

This is the Nook. On Friday, my sweet hubby took me to Best Buy and let me buy one of these awesome do-dads! I'm here to tell you...if you are a reader, this is one of the greatest inventions evah!!! It literally takes seconds to download a new book. However, I'm having second thoughts. I went with the original Nook because the sales guy talked me into it. It retails for $149. My dilemma is that after purchasing the original I went to the local book store and played around with the Nook Color. It retails for $249. It's a full touch screen as well as color. So, I think I may return the original Nook and exchange it for Nook Color. I just can't decide if it's worth spending $100 more just for the full touchscreen and color...Any thoughts???

Our newest addition....

Meet Baxter! He is the newest addition to our family. A friend of mine posted some pictures of some puppies that had been rescued from a hoarding situation. So, we loaded up the fam and headed to the local humane society. I walked in the door and my heart stopped when I saw him. Those sweet little eyes and his quiet dispostion. He had to be mine. I never dreamed The Daddy would go for it, but yes was there upon his lips before I uttered the last word of the question. I was dumbfounded. He said yes!!! We are getting a puppy!!! I've been in bliss ever since!!! He is precious and we all adore him. He's gonna be spoiled rotten. And so it begins......

A big ouch!

My poor baby. Yesterday while visiting with his grandparents, he tripped over a rug and hit an iron stool. Then to add insult to injury..or just another injury all together, he fell in the kitchen and hit a bar stool. Needless to say it was not a good day for the bug-a-boo. I may have to invest in a bubble....

Things have been crazy around here. We have had record breaking snow totals and no school for nearly 2 weeks. I haven't had anytime to post. So, here I am posting... I have every intention of posting pics of my Valentine's decor, but I have no batteries for my camera and cant' get out to get any. LOL! So, hopefully we will thaw out this weekend and I will be able to get some up for you all to see.

Sweetest days....

I can't believe how fast time seems to be going by these days. This is a picture of bug-a-boo that was taken in late October. He was 13 months old in this picture. I can't believe that tomorrow he will be 16months. =( Who know having a third child would be the best thing that ever happened to us?!?! These are the sweetest days of our lives and we are going to cherish every moment of it.

Happy 16months Bug-a-boo! Love you to the moon and back!

Winter blahs...

It's about that time of the year when the winter blues start to creep in. I'm ready for flowers, birds singing and long for the sunshine. So, I've decided that it's time to break out the paper crafting stuff and make some Valentine's Day decor. Not sure where I'm going with it, but when inspiration hits.....

The skinny on the weigh in....

So, I had my weigh in last night....The good news is I didn't gain anything. The bad news is I didn't lose anything either. I've decided to take this as a positive and start fresh today. I'm making mini goals for myself to achieve. My goal today is to eat 5 servings of fruits/vegetables. I'll be sure to let you know how that works out.

It's finally here! It's snowing for the first time in 2011. It's so beautiful outside. I LOVE it. I'm hoping this will bring a snow day for tomorrow. Bug-a-boo is gonna love it too. Can't wait to see him in all his snow clothes. Will post more pictures soon.

Ugh!

It's been such a hard week. I'm glad to see it coming to an end. With that being said, I am dreading Tuesday's weigh in. I have done completely horrible with my eating habits this week. Self-sabatoge anyone?!?! Good grief! Anyhow, I will be back on track and rearing to go with a new begining this week. That's the beauty of WW. It's a journey and if you fall off the horse you can just jump right back on. Simple as that. So, here's to a new week and a new, fresh beginning.

Standing at a loss.....

I'm SO excited!!! Last week I joined Weight Watchers. Tonight, I went to my weekly meeting and weighed in. To my surprise, I am down 2 pounds!!!! That's 2 pounds after a holiday weekend! WOOHOO!!!! I'm just thrilled. I've done it before and lost 20lbs. I know it works and I am so excited to share this journey with you. So looking forward to what I can do THIS week!!!!

Date Night....

I had an incredible time with The Daddy tonight. Sad to say, but we only went out to eat and then browsed the local bookstore. That would be one of the disadvantages to living in a fairly small town. Regardless, we had SO much fun together! Just laughing, talking and holding hands. It's amazing how just a couple hours of alone time can relieve so much stress. To top the evening off, we had a nice surprise...two of our three kiddos decided to stay the night at Memaw's. WOOHOO!!! Now we are about to snuggle up on the couch and watch a movie. Oh how much I love date night!!!

Sometimes in life it's just the little things that make me smile. Right now, here are my top 5:
* Finding out that Coffeemate has made their Peppermint Mocha creamer available ALL year! WOOHOO!

* Knowing I have 5 gift cards in my purse that I get to use for ME! Although, knowing me they will be spent on my kids somehow...lol!

*Even though I'm sad to see Christmas go, I know that I can start dreaming about Spring and gardening! ;-)

*The fact that my cute little hubby is bringing me lunch today. =0)

And last, but not least.... And not so much of a little thing:

*Watching my kiddos play with what they got for Christmas and sharing with each other while laughing together. Pure bliss!

Taking some time....

I'm sorry I've been away so much lately. Things are SERIOUSLY busy around here. I have the best of intentions of getting here nightly, but that just never seems to happen. So, I've decided to make myself feel less guilty, I'm officially taking this week off. Not that I haven't had the last couple off. LOL! I just needed to "say" it offically. So, I will be back next week after Christmas with a few surprises. Have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas....

Now that I am officially over the bah humbugs I am turning into a decorating machine... I will post pics soon!!!
I am so thankful to be over that hump! I can't wait to go shopping this weekend. I already have everything planned out. WOOHOO!!! I LOVE this time of year and I am SO thankful for our sweet precious Jesus! I'm looking forward to spending his birthday with family and friends alike.
