One sick kiddo...

How is it that we are near the end of July and my sweet J-bug has bronchitis??? She is so sick that she:
*has to have 4 breathing treatments daily for 7 days
* is on a steroid(sp?)
* taking a Z-pack
* and has to be on an anti-biotic for swimmer's ear as well for 7 days.

I feel so sorry for her. She absolutely HATES the breathing treatments. I'm pretty sure she deserves something special for all that she is having to go thru. Poor girl!
Anyhow, I missed Tuesday's Tip...Imagine that. I will be posting that sometime tomorrow...or I guess now that would be today. I think I need to go to bed. =)
Well, I hope all is well in your world. Here's to another week of taking great care of a sweet one. Ciao for now,
The Mommy

Terrific Tip Tuesday...{Chic Catch-All}

Reclaim a forgotten frame as a tray for baubles and bottles. Gather pretty printed fabric, cardboard, scissors, masking tape, four inexpensive half-inch beads to match your frame, and a hot glue gun. Remove the glass from the frame; trace glass onto cardboard; cut to fit. Snip out a slightly larger piece of fabric. Cover cardboard with cloth, taping excess tautly to the back. Reassemble the frame (if needed, gently pry or cut off the attached easel back). To create feet, glue the beads to the bottom.

This is more of a craft, rather than a tip. However, I feel that it fits both categories. So, show me what you've got. I'd love to see your version of this great idea.

Always,
The Mommy

To sell or not to sell....

that is the question. I have done several home based businesses and have never found one that really "fits". However, the other night I went to a party and fell in LOVE! I'd heard about Scentsy before, but had never been to a party. Anyhow, after going to said party, I came home all pumped up about these amazing products. The Daddy and I have been discussing this topic in deep detail and I think I am going to go out on a limb just one last time and become a consultant.

What do you think? Have you done a home based business? How well did it work out for you? I would LOVE to hear your feedback. Thanks in advance.

Late again... {{Return to Beauty}}

Yesterday was a crazy day! Spent with some wonderful women! Fun, but very busy...therefore no post for the Tuesday Terrific Tip. So, here I am a day late...AGAIN!

This week's tip:
Before you discard those morning coffee grounds, rub a small scoop into your hands as a gentle scrub. The exfoliation leaves skin smooth and younger looking...You can amp up the treatment by mixing in honey, yogurt or a little olive oil if your skin is dry.

Hope you enjoyed this weeks tip! Make sure to check back next week for a Chic Catch-All!!!

Always,

The Mommy

The County Fair

I'm always looking for things that our family can do together. This time around we loaded up and headed to the county fair. We had such a fun night. Complete with homeade root beer and a ride on a mechanical bull...for real!!! We may have to make this an every year tradition. Here are some of the highlights....

Bug-a-boo- rode the bull for a complete 8 seconds! (Hahahaha)

Up close and personal with a horse....

The kiddos got the biggest kick out of the littlest horse of all....

No fair is complete without.....bunnies???

My little dog-lover!

Why yes, I am indeed holding a rooster.

This one was The Bug's most very favorite of all...a horse named Dollar...

We had a little bit of rain, but all in all it was a fantastic night. I'm already looking forward to our next family adventure. Stay tuned!

Summer Fun....

Every year Tamko puts on a Family Fun night. This year it was at a local amusement park. The kids had a blast! We all did really!!! The Bumper Boats were the favorite of the night. Here is Will rearin' to go....

The Daddy on the hunt for a unsuspecting victim.....

Looks like he found one...

Oh well, in the end seems he wound up just as wet as she did....

What a fun night indeed! What are you doing with your summer?

Terrific Tip Tuesday-- (Un) Tie the knot

No need to get in a twist over knotted necklaces. A straight pin is the perfect tool to get out the kinks. For stubborn tangles, place the chain on a hard nonporous surface, like glass, and apply several drops of baby or mineral oil, then try untangling again. Prevent knots by hanging necklaces or storing delicate strands, clasps closed, in clear plastic bags (hanging necklaces w/heavy pendants can strain the chains).

**Bonus tip: Stash two jewelry-polishing cloths- one for tarnished silver, one for anything else- with accessories, so you can quick-clean pieces before wearing!

Hope this is a helpful tip!

Always,
The Mommy
